    Hi there

I just bought a Vaio EA notebook on the weekend. I really like it!
I have 1 question if someone could help out.
When I watch a movie or youtube or any type of video, the volume level has to be set very high (80%+ volume level) in order to be able to listen to it normally. Is this the case with Sony computers or am I missing some software or driver or something?

On my previous computer, the volume bar would only be at like 20% in order for me to hear normally.

    Any help would be great!

Hi there, unfortunately, in answer to your question the volume does have to be set quite high when watching movies and listening to music, as the speakers in the Vaio E-series notebook are smaller than the speakers in some of the other vaios e.g. the F-series. I too have a Sony Vaio E-series, mine is the VPCEB1Z0E/B and I have to turn the volume up when watching movies or listening to music.

If you download the latest drivers from Realtek, this can help if you get any distortion when you turn the speaker volume up. I have provided the link below.
