Cool, finally a real laptop (no touchscreens, no detachable keyboards)!
A few days ago, I was just thinking that it would be nice to have a Vaio X successor with a decent CPU. This comes close.
It's good to see that they included so many ports (incl. USB C + Thunderbolt 3). At first sight, the main complaints can be that it only supports 8GB RAM and that the bezel is fat :) I wonder how good the IPS display is.
I will swing by Yodobashi in the coming days to see if they have it on display.

This is a great news as I was waiting vaio to jump into skylake. Now I just need to wait for them to be implement on Z. One thing though, seems vaio have completely abandoned discrete graphics card, which is a shame...

I went to Bic Camera, today was the debut of the S11. I played around a few minutes with one, here are my general impressions:
    • Hard plastic feel
    • The keyboard and palmrest area is smoother, the bottom has a rougher touch
    • The side bezels are okay, the top one looks a bit large
    • The keyboard is quiet and relatively easy to type on, but you don't get that much feedback from the buttons
    • The touchpad is large, but it's surface is not smooth enough, so once-twice I had some difficulties aiming at a menu entry
    • I couldn't judge the screen quality
    • The two grey colors look good, but the white one is very ugly in my opinion (only some parts of the laptop are white, and they are glossy)
    • Made in China

My overall impression is that the S11 feels like a solid(ish), but cheap, plasticky laptop. Actually, it didn't feel so much like a Vaio to me, especially not like a premium compact.
