I live in Canada, and wished I could have things in a Vaio Z that the Japan ones had, such as the Premium Carbon Fiber, better hard drive, etc. So I called Sony and asked them if they could custom build one for me using parts from Japan/US(in some cases) and they told me that sometime during mid-January, the New Vaio Z CTO will be available. Here you can customize it with a 2.80 Ghz Processor, 320GB 7200rpm Hard Drive Available(and others), and the Premium Carbon Fibre Option has been added. Sorry guys, no news on the figures for how much each upgrade will cost, but lets just keep our fingers crossed that the new 'z' comes sooner, then later.![]()
*Also, no news about the release in other countries yet, all I know is that January is the date set for Canada.

"New Vaio Z" sounds good but "Vaio Z Refresh" would be more accurate in my opinion. Sony refreshes most models every 3 months.

LoL, I wish they would update that 9300 GS on the Z. Perhaps the little machine generates too much heat and consumes too much power with a more powerful GPU...
