I have a question for the new Z owner with 128GB SSD.
I have been thinking about returning the unit in exchange for one with a larger SSD due to the drives lower capacity.
After reformatting and installing win7 Ultimate Office 2007, and some other things I deem as required Iam left with approximately 76 GB this includes BFBC2.
I have a few more games and some benchmark tools I like to install etc.

I would like to hear a few opinions on SD Capacity (SDHC) or Sony memory cards as an alternative for additional storage rather than returning it for the higher capacity SSD models and getting nailed with a 15% restock fees.

Do SD cards or the Sony mem Stocks have any short comings? Any suggestions information and insight welcomed.

    Thx in advance.

memory sticks are not a replacement for a hdd. if you need the space exchange it for the 256gb model

They are ok for storage is speed is not a concern to you. If you do decide to get a SD or memory stick card, I advise going for the higher speed ones like the Sandisk SD extreme III or Sandisk MS pro duo-HG. You will be able to save and extract data faster and the speed difference is noticeable when compared against their standard counterparts.

These make good alternative storage for smaller files but I don't advise using them for larger files unless you're the type who enjoy staring at walls for hours on end.

You can also opt to get an express card SSD for your Z. The one made by Filemate is actually pretty decent. I have the 24GB model and it's very responsive and it's way faster than any SD/MS cards.
