I guess now I play the "what do I do" game

Stick it out with my SR for a bit longer for more CTO options (I really with this came with a backlit keyboard, it seems like it should be standard these days) or just buy it now

My SR does the job....has 2hr battery life though, plus the screen has a defect....hmm....

Anyone have a new Y series laptop (the one that showed up on Sony's site within the last couple weeks)? Very curious as to how cool it runs and what battery life is actually like. Also, I heard the previous version of this laptop made a strange clicking sound. Anyone notice that in the new version?

Thinking about buying this computer. I will be using it primarily for web browsing, watching videos and listening to music and MS Office apps. That's about it. Nothing too crazy. I think I've decided to stick w/ the integrated graphics but am not sure what do about processor (i3 or i5). Anyone have any input?

    Thanks!

EDIT: I heard the previous version made a whining sound, I think - not a clicking sound.
