    I heard someone on notebook forums said that Sony was going release new notebooks with the x700? Do any of you guys know about this?

    Hey azn,

    Sony will probably have a x700 in their A series (17" only). Since you posted in the HP forum too, here's a breakdown of what you're probably looking for:

    Sony will be cooler running and slightly lighter, but more expensive.
    HP (zd8000) will be hotter and heavier, but less expensive.

    Yeah, I'm just looking for the best retail notebook that I can just pick up at a store. That's why I'm trying to find information about the next Sonys and the upgrades to the zd8000. Thanks for your help
