    Hi guys,

I realise Intel is releasing their new processors in Q4. Sony Vaios would of course get the new processors.

My question is, are the benefits / advantages worth waiting for or is the current line of Vaios good enough to last for the next 5 years? I am looking specifically at the Z and the TT.

I think the current models are good enough for the next 5 years. But the Z looks like your best bet for better performance.

I realise you can never keep up with technology but if the next generation of processors are going to be mainstream for the next 3-5 years I guess it would be worth the wait?

Then again, with the current economic climate, the prices of these new notebooks may increase (especially outside of the US).

The new processors (dual core Arrandale) won't be out untul Q1 2010. So no knew dual core Vaio's (maybe some quad cores with Clarksdale) until next year.

Oh really? I thought initially it was due out Q1 but manufacturers put pressure on Intel to delay it to Q4.

For God's sake I hope Sony finally decides to add a displayport (supporting 2560x1600) and an eSata port. I'd say backlit keyboard too, but I don't wanna push it...lol
