I got a lemon SZ491/NX a year ago and now it's back from the Sony service center. They replaced the fan, a warped speaker bezel, keyboard and the three-prong adapter. Yes. That's how bad it was.

They initialize everything that was inside the hard drive to the factory state. I never had a chance to create a DVD ayear ago so this is the chance for me to do it. What's the best way to create a recovery DVD? Mine is equipped with a Vista Business.

I tried to read the past threads but my connection is very slow and tiresome and honestly I'm confused and feel like 80 years old.

I hear people saying it's possible to create a bloatware free DVD. Other's say it's best to create a recovery DVD just the way Sony intended. So what's the best way? Could you give me a step by step procedures how to create a DVD?

    Thank you.

After installing the MS office and other applications, can I still create a recovery discs to a point from a factory image?
Do you recommend that I create a recovery when nothing is installed in the SZ?

    Help!

Well look and see how your hard drive partitions look like. If you don't see anything that looks similar to a recovery partition, maybe contact Sony. Worst comes to worst, you may be able to ask Portable One for a disc.
