I just bought a sz660 through amazon for $1440.00, I think it was too good to pass up.Anyways can I buy an extended service plan through sony even though I purchased it from amazon? Also is the sony plan worth the extra $200 bucks for two years of protection? Thanks for the help.

My Visa card doubles the one-year Sony warranty - if yours does to and you used it for your purchase, that can alleviate the need for an extra extended warranty. I just got my SZ repaired right at the 2-year mark and Visa is paying.

It doesn't matter where you purchased the computer, you need at least 30 days left on your original warranty to extend it. I personally bought a 3 year onsite/accidental service plan from a member on this forum for $190 and haven't regretted once.
