    Hey all --

Quick question that I figured I'd ask in this form, since it's my assumed home -- does anyone have experiences with buying a notebook, particularly a Sony, from NewEgg? I've never bought anything from them.

They have a good online reputation from what I gather, but wanted to gather some direct feedback before I fork over a couple thousand to them. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a SZ650N/C, and NewEgg is the most reputable retailer I can find that still carries that model, and has it in stock.

Anyway advice, stories, or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

I like newegg...I ordered about 10 computer parts from them and all of them got to me within 3 days.

A few months later I ordered an external lightscribe drive, and they upgraded me to 2-day guaranteed shipping for FREE because of processing delays...highly recommend them

Up until today, I've had no trouble ordering from them and I've ordered from them on several occasions. The incident today isn't their fault and it will be taken care of by tomorrow. Apparantly, my bank felt the need to put a daily spending limit on my checking account... which is ridiculous because it's my money. Anyway, I placed an order for a laptop a little while ago and the process failed because of my bank. If you're spending $2k and you're using your debit card, you might want to run it by your bank so they don't shut you down too, lol.

They are one of the best online merchants of all time.
    Wonderful company.
Check out their rating at: www.resellerratings.com
They are a 9.86 out of 10 lifetime with 18658 reviews, which is incredible!!
However, they answer zero technical or product questions, and generally require you to abide by their written policies, although they do make exceptions.
For example, if you have a few dead pixels on a notebook or monitor, you will have to live with them, unless the manufacturer has a zero dead pixel policy.

Yeah, Newegg is pretty good overall. Bought quite a number of stuff from them & I bought my SZ381 from them last year.
