Does anyone know if there will be a new SA revision before Ivy Bridge, and if the Ivy Bridge SA will have a dedicated GPU? My desktop is failing and an SA looks like the replacement, but I could wait and try and nurse the desktop along if there is something much better coming really soon. When is Ivy Bridge due to be out in reality? Spring 2012?

March is when it ships, if it's anything like Sandy Bridge (delays and such - it's already been delayed to March at the request of ODM/OEM), it will be around April when the first laptops come out, and about July(?) before the SA comes out. Of course, if they are pin compatible, then all I said is moot.

Took the plunge and ordered a VPCSA3C5E, a CTO in mesh black, with the i7 and the 7200 RPM drive. Liked it much better that the Z when I saw them side by side in the shop in London.

Does anyone know what delivery times are like at the moment? They quoted 2-3 weeks, and I'd to book a couple of days off work to transfer stuff over.

Also, is the battery slice an option to buy later or have I missed out?

And is there a docking station option that has Firewire/IEEE1394?
