    Recently acquired a Fit 15E (SVF15215CXB ) and upgraded to win 8.1

All is well, except I noticed both in windows 8 and in 8.1, there is no 'silent' mode in the Vaio Control Center. Is this normal? All the drivers are up-to-date and correctly installed according to vaio update and windows update.

It is an annoying bug, as the fan spins up far too frequently for the amount of heat generated, and I don't think it is controllable by any third-party package, so it would be great if I could set it in the control center to stop the things from spooling up so much...

    thanks!
