According to sources from Sony there is now 12" Vaio planned for the companies notebook-lineup. While they just opted for a customized display size in their new 11,1" tx-series, they say they dont believe that there is a huge market between 13,3" and 11,1"-inch notebooks. One should be more like the lightest notebook available with all necessary features (the TX1 is technically based on the 505-carbon series), the other one a all-in-one-package for road warriors.

I tend to agree, at a certain point too many choices can be a problem.

Doesn't Sony have a 12" laptop now? The one that looks exactly like the S-series. I believe it is called the Y series.
-
Well, true - but they dont really sell that model anymore. And they wont update it. At least it this what they say.

Yes they do, but I don't think they're available in North America. I've seen many of them being sold in Hong Kong (China), but have yet seen one for sale in Canada.
No 12" Vaio planned so far
