    No 12" Vaio planned so far

    According to sources from Sony there is now 12" Vaio planned for the companies notebook-lineup. While they just opted for a customized display size in their new 11,1" tx-series, they say they dont believe that there is a huge market between 13,3" and 11,1"-inch notebooks. One should be more like the lightest notebook available with all necessary features (the TX1 is technically based on the 505-carbon series), the other one a all-in-one-package for road warriors.

    I tend to agree, at a certain point too many choices can be a problem.

    Doesn't Sony have a 12" laptop now? The one that looks exactly like the S-series. I believe it is called the Y series.

    Well, true - but they dont really sell that model anymore. And they wont update it. At least it this what they say.

    Yes they do, but I don't think they're available in North America. I've seen many of them being sold in Hong Kong (China), but have yet seen one for sale in Canada.
