Why aren't there any full fledged SZ reviews?

The Latitude released this week already has about 4 reviews, and still nothing about the SZ? For being the second most popular laptop on this site, it isn't even on the dropdown list in the reviews section?

Where are Cnet, zdnet, tomshardware, laptop mag.. etc?

Considering that the 110s and 120s can't even be purchased any more from Sony's site, I figured at least the older models might have a review.

Also- a brief question-- what is the difference between the 120 and the 140?

One reason for there not being any reviews is that maybe none of these websites can get their hands on a test unit to review, although I find that VERY hard to believe... I've also been looking to see what the mainstream media has to say about the SZ.

As for your question on the 120 vs. the 140 - the SZ140 is in essence the 'customizeable' option to the 120, if you will. Sony does (or did) sell a pre-configured SZ140, but there was little, if any difference between the 120 and the 140. The 140 was actually the cheapest configuration you could buy from SonyStyle, if memory serves (from January, when I "pre-ordered" my custom SZ140 that never shipped). I believe the 110 and 120 models were only available from retail stores (BestBuy, CompUSA, Circuit City, etc). Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Out of the several VAIO's I've owned, it's been my experience that none of the major media sites cover them. They seem mostly dedicated to either "business class" machines (Dell, Toshiba, maybe Compaq/Toshiba and Gateway, etc) or in the case of gaming magazines, to true gaming powerhouses (Alienware, etc). Long and short, Sony just doesn't get good press from any of the normal review channels.

Vaiofan is right. when i was considering buying the S series before i uncoverd the SZ :) i could not find anything and if i got much out of mainstream media it was an overall snippet nothing very technical and substantial -its a shame really
