    WOH!

No vaio E-series official owner yet @ NBR ? Is it available for delivery or not ? And one biggest flaw I can see is there is NO OPTION FOR FHD 1080p at Sony USA site

Thank you friend. Why the hell the title of that thread is "EB" series ??? Moderators could you please resolve the confusion by changing the title.

Well they already did. I called it E at first to make it one thread for EA/EB/EC, as they seems to be identical design and hardware wise, just screen difference...but some mod changed it to EB only...

I saw this laptop in this morning. I think it is heavier than inspiron 1564 Dell. I dont know the sound. I think the sound is not good. However, I agree that I love its keyboard.

The sound on EB is great!!! no problems of listening music or watching a movie.
It's not that heavy (only 2.7kg ;) ). The keyboard is lovely!!!
If you are planing to get it, get with i5, high resolution and ATI 5650 (1G)

If you want to make an owners thread for a model that does not have one then go ahead.
If the CW series is to be replaced by the EA series then the EA series does merit a new thread, just by seeing the popularity of the CW series.
Coolguy is right each model has a different model number.
May be the EC/EB can be merged, or what do you think?
Having a merged thread can sometimes make a thread harder to follow.

The thing is that it's confusing for many ppl (including me, I don't know why Sony changed their naming politics).

In many countries the EB/EC series are called just E (like in case of UK), but when you look at the model number under model available for E series, they are both EB and EC.

For me it doesn't look like Sony is trying to replace any series (NW, CW...or AW), but making new budget line which is quite the same in terms of hardware and design, the only difference is the screen size.

The EB thread doesn't grow big really (at least not like F thread) and as it seems that all E series notebooks will be basically the same, it makes more sense to me to have it in one thread. Specific problems should be asked separately in its own thread anyway.

But that's just my thought....it's basically on you...I know it's not easy to be mod, I used to do it before ;)

Ok, as it seems that it what the majority wants i will rename it and see what happens with the EA/CW series down the line and see how popular the EA is.
    Edited to add:
I know there was some speculation in this thread about all the various models and what they may or may not be replacing. It looks like in the UK anyway that the EB has replaced the NW series anyway.

how is the battery???? how long does it last???? I had NW before, the sound of NW is very weak. That's why I returned it. I hope the sound of E series is better.

Ask in the E series owners thread. Also it depends on configuration you'll choose. You should not expect much more than 3 hours though. The speakers are said to be quite loud in case of EB.

I do hope the battery life will last longer than the CW. The CW's was so mediocre.

Don't expect fantastic battery life, around 2:30 is a good time on a full charge
