    Vaio vpc13

I successfully cracked the bios and clean install W7 and installed latest nvidia 280.26 drivers and now my second display is not showing. Will not detect it but I can add it as a projector VGA but need to do this on every boot. Any help?

Did you try rigorous display detection? (Click 'my display is not detected' link in NV control panel).

Are you in speed mode or stamina, you'll have problems in stamina for sure
With Static VGA, Stamina=Internal display only

Check your VGA cable. Maybe a pin of the connector is broken. Also, look at the back of the monitor to see if there is a 75ohm termination switch. It needs to be ON, as that could be what the graphics adapter uses to detect the presence of a monitor on that port - I know that is how it is done with the S-video port.

No is not that, was working before I put in the latest Nvidia driver, with patch from CowboyCowboy post. And works if I select projecter but that needs doing every boot.

What is the device that you are using for the second display? Do you have a driver specifically for it?

Do you have a monitor that connects using HDMI?

that is quite strange, I'll do some tests with VGA here when I find some time and see if I can reproduce the problem
