This is my first post. Yesterday I got my vaio sz2xp, the premium model with carbon fiber and slim screen. Laptop is quite nice, but I have noticed that when I try watching a dvd (I tried a few, the ones that I have watched on other laptops and they used to be perfect) and I can see something like NOISE in any dark backgroud (like when a sceen is black, dark blue or similar). It is hard to describe it, but it looks like noise on the photos (when iso is high), but as this is video, it movesKind of unpleasant to watch. Though while browsing internet and on white background it is not visible.
I am sure the dvds were fine. The same is even more visible on downloaded videos. I used both stamina and speed settings and the noise is the same.
Do you think the screen is faulty or all premium sz have same problems? Before I had asus a6va and toshiba and never saw anything like this.
Thank you!![]()
P.S. actually, I loked again, and it is like I am seeing the pixels moving on the screen, like something liquid.I hope it does not sound crazy.
Can it be that this is because of the slimness of the screen, i.e. comparing to the regular x black in not premium models?

Hi,
I've just tried this on my sz2xp (speed mode, winDVD, Blade2) and the blacks/dark colours are perfect. Of course there is no sound (see my post below!)
Has anyone bought one of these laptops and everything actually works?
