    Non OEM Batteries - experiences?

    So, £200 for an SZ series extended battery from Sony is taking the p*** a bit IMHO.

    eBay have some no-name models for aroundabout £75, which is more reasonable. Thing is, I've obviously been brainwashed by Sony into thinking these batteries might be in some way inferior...

    Would anyone like to share their good/bad/indifferent experiences with 3rd party batteries?

    Would they even fit? do they have the same amp and volt outputs?.

    I got an extended non oem for a TR a few years back and it worked GREAT!

    I've got a PCG-Z1WA from ~24 months ago that has no trace of that utility. Also I've been using an aftermarket double-capacity battery for a number of months now with no issues at all.
