Ok, I am a bit lost on this one. I am hoping I am so heart broken that I missed something stupid.

    SVZ131190x

Win7 home prem OEM from SONY, I just wiped and reinstalled less than 1 month ago. No other issues prior.

Used laptop on battery, battery was exhausted during use. Went inside house and plugged into PMD, short while later hit the power button, unit started up and once it got into windows, Screen and unit turned off. I repeated this two more times and it remained consistent in shutting down the same way.
Attempted booting into win safe mode. Same results after it loaded up
Pulled battery, replaced after a minute. Same results
Pulled battery went off of power brick solo. Same results
Restored to earlier restore point, (unsure how that was able to complete in such short duration) But, Same results of shut down.

Fan is "Operating", but wasn't sure if its a possible thermal protection that could be kicking in?
I am fearful it is something burnt out on the mobo.

Any feedback is appreciated! I just need a direction to start to diagnose her because I cant afford a replacement currently and its my life line and the Z still has no competitor :(

    Thanks in advance!

Load Linux Mint/Ubuntu etc live image to usb pen drive and boot into Linux. You will need to enter BIOS (f2 when pc is turned on), go to boot device priority, enable external device boot and choose ext device as your first boot device. When linux loads, see if the laptop turns off. If it does not, open command prompt and type in stress --cpu 4. It should put the maximum load on your cpu, you should hear the fan speed up and soon see if the laptop turns off because of thermal shutdown.

Might want to try a CHKDSK /R from command prompt to rule out some type of disk corruption.
