    Not sure about window licenced

    I own a sony SR laptop and I did make a recovery disk as it said when I first log in to the window, then I did format my window due to virus through my recovery disk, I want to ask you guys that Is my window still a licenced window after I format it?

    Unless you change the hardware, Windows should still stay activated. I believe that the CD Key is probably stored on the recovery disk, so it should still be licensed even when reformatted. The worst that might happen is that it might ask you to reactivate your machine over the internet, which is pretty much instant, so there is nothing to worry about.
