    Hi,

I have VGN-FZ340E SonyVaio notebook. The nvidia card stopped working some 10 months ago and there were dots appearing on the screen. The notebook also got hot frequently. I got it checked by some computer technician and he repaired the nvidia card. He said there were some bubbles bla bla bla on the chip.

Anyway, It worked fine and now the problem occurred again and the technician is saying it's no more repairable.

Kindly, let me konw what is the alternative available.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply.

The problem with warranty claim is that they require receipt, which I don't have. I bought this laptop some 4 years ago.

Moreover, I have already get it repaired by some technician which is not authorized Sony Vaio person. Reason being, there is no service center of Sony Vaio in my country.

I have heard nvdia card can't be replaced. So is replacing of motherboard is a good option.
