Hey guys, I am using VGN-75G/N B (Japan based).

I just installed win7 64 bit for my laptop, my VaiO's using Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS 64mb RAM graphic card...

I followed the instruction of this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=428140 . everything went smoothly up to step 8 until i installed the graphic driver in speed mode...

before install, windows automatically get the driver for the card... but it's horrible (8 bit, no memory, and the res. is 800x600)...

then I installed the driver for 64 bit as the thread said

    (64bit Nvidia Driver (Pre-modded Nvidia 190.40 Win7 64bit Driver)

    http://www.mediafire.com/?5ockryt1tji),

but after the restart, the windows couldnt start... it stucked after the windows logo like forever... black blank screen... then i tried to switch back to stamina mode then the screen become very very dark, cant not see anything...

Now i start to think that the driver isnt suitable for the graphic card... anyone knows this problem please give me help...

    Really appriciate...

Try safe mode if you can and try to unistall those drivers. Just try turn your computer of without powering down. You said that you've got a dark screen so i don't know if you can do this.
These are the Nvidia drivers which i used.

You can also adjust your graphics card settings and the res yourself by going to the control panel or hitting right click on the desktop.

erm.. now things come to this...
I turn on the laptop in speed mode, then safe mode.. I try to install the driver above, it detects the graphics but after installation, when i restart PC, it's still the same, the driver from Geforce 8400M GS turns back to VGA driver...and the screen is horrible...

Dont know what happened to my Laptop? i am using windows 7 7600 OEM..

There are many versions of the 8400, make sure the numbers match exactly. The driver you mentioned is specific to the sz750 and may have a different subsystem number. That is all it takes to make things act strange.

Go into display adapters, then left click on the video card and click properties. Go to the details tab and in the drop down, choose hardware ID's. Write down the part that says VEN____&DEV_____&SUBsys______. Now go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers and plug in your information.

    ok, i checked like u said and mine is VEN_10DE &DEV0427 &SUBsys_9008104D

as i see on http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers , there are only 2 version (not certified) suitable: 190.40 and 186.24...

190.40 you already said and I tried, but didnt work...
186.24, the inf file is not available...

is it any possibility that something wrong with my windows?
