Well, Nvidia is finally releasing there own laptop drivers. They are still in beta but at least it is a start and we don't have to wait for slow sony to release anything.

Now you don't have to wait for slow Sony to release anything. -
You can download latest Nvidia drivers from Sony FTP.

Where can you download the latest nvidia drivers for Sony from. The latest for the FZ for example are from 2007...
-
Here ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/VAIO/ORIGINAL/
Navigate to the Graphics_Nvidia subfolder. I installed 167.60 driver for my FZ from one of those files. It's one of the Nvidia subfolders. -

167.70 is actually a pretty old driver considering the 17X will soon be finished and nvidia will be moving on to the 18X series.
-
Sony's driver is better than laptopvideo2go. I did try and I get better Vista score with Sony's driver
-
Vista WEI is worthless.
Run a real benchmarking tool like 3dmark06 to do a real test. -
I'm gonna disagree, the drivers customised by DOX are way better than Sony standard drivers. Impovements all round in benchmarks (3DMark 06).
-
why does nothing ever work with sony :[
-
Beware that if you install custom driver, your Blu-ray software player may no longer work.
-
What nVidia subfolders? There are none.
And does the old 167.60 driver give you CUDA and PhysX? Like other people with the same graphics card now have?
No? Well, then! -
What would happen if you install it anyway? Will it refuse to install? Can you bypass model checker by extracting the files manually with 3rd party extractor, like Universal Extractor?
