So I bought a Sony Vaio (VGNFE660G) with Windows XP Media Center, and I thought I knew how to install XP Pro. I completely deleted the partion with Media Center on it, and installed my XP Pro. Unfortunatley, I was un-aware it was not going to validate (academic version), so now I am stuck. If I buy the recovery disc for my model from Sony's website, will it reinstall Media Center, thus bailing me out.

Always good to burn the recovery disks when you first get your notebook, just in case.
