I hesitate before deciding to order SZ340 or 240. For me SZ Coreduo T2500 (2.0GHz) is enough. The reason why I want SZ with Merom chips is to run Vista 64-Bit next year when many application softwares 64bit will be available.![]()
So pls give me some advice.
Thanks

I would wait till Sept 11th for Merom. Why even think about it?

This must be a joke...right? Definately wait for merom imo (i.e. sz340). At the very least the 240 should be cheaper then.

Neither. Go for the 260.

The SZ360 would be my choice, it may even be available Sept 11th.

You may want to keep tabs on this link also:

Click on the SZ models there and you will find some premium SZ360, SZ370, etc. -
OOPS - Sonystyle has the new premium models up NOW:

Doesn't the SZ381 model supposed to have the carbon fiber "weave" pattern on the top lid? I am reading it in the feature section of this model:
"Peerless Carbon Fiber Casing
The Sony VAIO® SZ Premium SZ381P/X notebook also features a cutting-edge carbon fiber casing. During the molding processes, a gelcoat resin is applied to the carbon fiber casing, exposing the multiple layers of carbon and providing a cool brushed look and crisscross pattern."
Sounds yummy! -
NuntiusLuminis , y do u recomend 260/360 btw ? isnt the other premium ones better ? like X70 / X80 series ?

By the way, anybody know the Windows XP installed on SX3xx is 32-Bit or 64-Bit Verion, as Merom supports 64-Bit?
Oder SZ340 or SZ240: pls help to decide
