That's right, now Sony has official XP Pro unlocked drivers available on their website for the following models:

    SZ6xx (i.e SZ640, SZ650, SZ680)
    SZ4xx
    TZ1xx
    TXN2x (i.e. TXN25, TXN27 and TXN29)

    It's easy:

    Start here:
    http://b2b.sony.com/b2bMicrosites/landingpage/vaio_drivers/download_vaio_drivers.html

Click on "Get Drivers" in the Model Unlocked Drivers box.
Enter your model number on the next page or select your model.
Once the next screen comes up, pull the drop down box down to Windows XP Pro and you'll get a whole list of all of the drivers for your machine, making it happy under XP rather than patched together.

    Any questions?

What does "unlocked" mean? Anyone tested it along with Sony's order of install?

Unlocked means they are not tied to specific machines or models like their drivers typically are when you download them from esupport.sony.com.

FN brightness and volume still aren't working under Stamina mode using these drivers+order of installation on my SZ650N/C.
