    HELLO EVERYONE !!!!!
New to this site an in need of some info . I purchased a older sony vaio pcg-grx700 laptop :
    p4 2.4 ghz
    60 gig hd
    512 ram
    windows xp pro
    sp2 installed
    2 - pc card slots

    1. Did this computer come with a usb 1.1 port or 2.0 . Could not find out on the spec sheet. When I Plug In a flash drive it says its only 1.1
    2. My problem If Its 1.1 how do i install both my cards, I have a Usb
2.0 pcmcia card and a audigy pcmcia sound card but both cards will not fit in the slots not enough space between the slots. An I need both to run my external harddrive and external speakers. Do they sell something out there to extend one of them . thanks for any help tony

That's the Sony eSupport site for your model. Clicking on the specifications will give you a PDF with everything you need to know for the most part. Your laptop should have USB 2.0, since yours is probably only 3-4 years old tops. Sometimes Windows can be goofy and say a port isn't 2.0 when it really is. Usually a restart corrects that.

If it was built in 2003 I'd be extremely surprised if it didn't have USB 2.0
I have a PCG-K23 from around the same era which sported usb2
