I'd like to know how much MORE the high capacity VGP-BPL12 battery weighs than the standard VGP-BPS12 battery?

I did a search on the web and here but probably used the wrong search terms as I did not find any info.

It would be great if someone has both batteries in hand to find the actual difference.

I ask because my new Z came with the BPL12 and I'd like a lighter notebook. This new BPL12 though gives me a legitimate 8 hours battery at 50% brightness so that's a plus.

    Thanks,
    UL

In the abesence of someone being able to give the exact weight - I used to have the large battery and weight wise it doesnt add much. It does stick out at an angle which works great at an angle and goes into the sony leather case just fine. The bigger problem for me was when i moved it around I had to be more mindful of the battery - its slightly awkward when picking up due to it sticking out.....so I went back to using the standard battery.

Here are some measurements I've made myself. The scale I used has 1 gram precision.

    Code:
    Z710DD (w/ 5400 battery) - 1454 g / 3.206 lbs
    Z710DD (w/o battery) - 1140 g / 2.513 lbs
    5400/10.8 battery - 312 g
    Hope that helps.
