Hi.
The other day I tried to copy data from one hard drive to another, and a little notice came up saying I would be better using a high speed port. I was cleaning out my closet yesterday, and noticed on my FZ box it says it comes with 3 high speed ports, but only two show in device manager, which are the two on the right side, as the drive I was transferring from was plugged into the one on the left.
Any ideas how to get my third one working as it should be?

Anyone have the same issue?

I have an FZ480 and also have the slow usb port on the left side. I haven't found any thing to help it. I was going to call Sony about it but figured they would not be any help. I use it for a GPS receiver and sometimes audio with a Turtle Beach surround sound box. I discovered the slow port about a year ago.

When you said only two show in device manager, what exactly do you see? Can you post a screen shot?

I was transferring data from one external to the other, and a notice popped up saying I would be best using a High-speed port, but as all 3 should be high-speed anyway, I shouldn't have got the notice in the first place.

I get that sometimes with my flash drives. If it's not an "everytime you plug it in" thing, then it probably was just a bad authentication attempt, and you need to unplug it and reseat the USB connection. Or if your USB ports are dirty, then get a toothbrush and gently brush and blow some of the dust out of the port.
Only 2 High-Speed USB Ports Work (FZ21Z)...
