Purchased an open box (really no box) SZ320 from Best Buy and I have 14 days to return it for a full refund. I have had it less than 20 hours but already have some questions that hopefully someone can help me with:

    1) Left hinge has a lot of movement in it, right hinge is solid. Salesman tried to tell me that is how it is supposed to be. Both the one I bought and the one on display had the same "wobbly" left hinge. Any comments?

    2) SD card problem... it doesn't recognize most of my SD cards. The one it does recognize is a 50X Kingston 512Mb purchased xmas 05. The 2, so far, that it doesn't recognize are a 512 and a 2GB 150X purchased xmas 06. There is a warning in the manual about cards tested before May 2006 are compatible but after that Sony's not guaranting anything. Has anyone found a work around for this.

I would appreciate any other comments folks have about this unit as I quite like it but am not commited for another 13 days

    Thanks in advance

    Bill

Hi, I have the same model and I can confirm that the left hinge is a little wobbly when you press on it (where the speaker grill is) and if you notice there are other parts that are not sturdy (you can use your fingers to pry open the top lcd above the webcam for example).

As for the SD I can't say for sure that it doesn't work, but i can get back to you when i get off work.

Hi, I just checked my SD card and i can confirm that it does work. I have a Kingston 1gb sd card that was mostlikely made before may/06 though, as I bought it around that time. Hope this helps
