Hey everyone,
On Friday, my Nvidia GPU in my Sony FZ4000 failed completely. I knew that I was far removed from the original manufacturers warranty and thought calling Sony support would just end with an offer for a pricey repair so I opened the laptop to take a look for my self. And then I checked the forum and saw that Sony had extended the warranty on the GPU without informing registered owners. If I took the laptop apart very carefully, and put all the screws and wires back in place correctly, will I still get denied my warranty if I send it off to Sony? Or is there a chance I could just send it off to Sony and they could over look the opening?

Side note: I did not modify anything when I opened the PC
And If I am able to send the PC off and the reject my warranty coverage will they just send back my PC?
Thanks -
The Nvidia chip is being covered under the waaranty extension. It doesn't matter if you pull apart your laptop.

You need to contact Sony on a specific phone number about the NVIDIA issue:

UPDATE: I called Sony and I set up a repair. The only thing they asked about was if the computer failed because of liquid or physical damage and if so, I would have to pay for the repair out of pocket.
