    Premium in fact is not as a whole. :p Look side by side a comarative indicators of Obtical drive:

    Premium (SZ260, 360...) and CTO (340...)

    DVD+R Write : 4x max.
    DVD+RW Write : 2.4x max.
    DVD-R Write : 4x max.
    DVD-RW Write : 2x max.
    CD-R Write : 24x max.
    CD-RW Write : 10x max.
    DVD±RW : Yes4
    CD Read : 24x max.
    DVD Read : 8x max.
    DVD-RAM Read : 2x max.

    Standard (SZ 330....): many of th following indicators are much higher than the above ones:

    Old news...

    The standard SZ's have always had slightly faster spec'd ROM drives than the Premiums since at least the introduction of DL drives.
