    Hello.

I have a friends laptop here, whos optical drive stopped working. He is a rather "noob" and he does not know much about computrs, so I dont know what he was messing with.

But if I check the control panel it seems like this:

Both both devices it says driver is not installed corectly, try to reinstall it. But that does not help.

    Anything I could do?

Try deleting the driver altogether then restart windows. Maybe it will be recognized when windows restarts.
