I recently purchased a new Sony Vaio VPCEA16FA, and I was planning to format it and start from scratch. But before I do that I need to know where are the preinstalled drivers and software setup files so that I can back them up. I am sure the files are located somewhere since there is an option for me to reinstall any application in Vaio recovery.

I really appreciate if anyone can help.

They're on the hidden recovery partition, and on the recovery DVDs if you create them (which you should)

ok is there anyway to access the files so that I can install them later after the format?

btw I already created the recovery discs

EDIT: I already figured it out. They are all in disc one and there is an autorun where u can choose to have the drivers/software installed or the whole system restored.
