I been doing searches for 'overclock' on this forum and all I have been able to find is the modified drivers page.

I was curious, in order to overclock, would I have to change my Sony drivers to the modified ones? I tried to use Rivatuner to OC but it didn't let me. What kind of software/drivers/tweaks are recommended to overclock?

Also, will using modified drivers affect the Stamina/Speed/Auto switch?

    Thanks a lot guys!

I downloaded Nvidia Inspector, and at first I pushed the clocks to 575/800/1290 then ran a game (it stuttered) so I attempted to lower the clocks.

But then everytime I tried to change it, it would bounce back to the default Sony speeds. Did the driver just lock me out permanently from overclocking?

you should search the forum here...there's a lot of people overclocking the Z. It ONLY works when you are plugged in to ac power....

It works! Call of Duty Black Ops and Mass Effect runs like a charm now.

    I'm pleasantly surprised :)

    Thank you beaups!

    I rock 620/1364/815 stable.
If you get stuttering make sure that you have your power mode in high performance.

And make sure your thermal strategy is NOT set to silent.

That is quite a big step up from the stock clock speeds of 475/1045/700. How long to you tax the GPU at those speeds?

EDIT: Thanks for bringing this nice app to my attention beaups, rep 4 U (^_^). I was going to install the modified drivers in Nautis's thread but this works out great. In the past when I overclocked GPUs I either flashed the VBIOS or used modified community drivers, the drivers Nautis made don't have that option?

EDIT #2: I had a 3DMarks score of 6236 with stock settings, 7508 with mfpreach speeds (^_^)hehehe Who would have thought I'd start feelin' the overclock fever with a 330M? Boowaahhhahahahaha! Oh SH!T! I smell smoke!! Just kiddin'

I haven't updated BIOS, I'm using thomaskc.dk's 263.00 drivers from Nautis' thread, I'm on speed mode, I'm using MSI Afterburner. Not sure what other variables there could be. Specs in sig.

I just tested to make sure I wasn't making it up and I'm not, solid 50-60FPS in Starcraft II in a 4-player FFA replay on Kulas Ravine at 1600x900 with mostly ultra settings (terrain/shaders medium). Clocks are at 620/1364/840.

I run it constantly fine. I have never had a BSOD but I have had shut downs at higher clocks. You might try to increase your own as I may have hit the wall.

As an aside, my friend just opened his samsung r480 today which has a 330 and he is able to push it as far as 700 running at 80c under load. I'm sure he can push it more too. Too bad our cooling isn't that good but then again we can't have everything can we?

what voltage does the samsung run it at? my guess is it's a notch higher.
