Hey, I've had my FZ190 for about a month and a half now, and I decided to try overclocking the 8400m GT and see what it can do.

    System specs are:
    2.2 ghz cpu
    2 gb RAM
    8400m GT
    160gb 5400 rpm HDD
    Vista Home Premium

So, I ran 3d mark 06 with default clocks (core 450 mem 600) and got 2611.
I used Rivatuner to OC and then ran 3dmark 06 in 10mhz increments for core, then did the same for memory, then did both of them together. I never got any errors.
Right now I have it running at 600/750, no artifacts or other errors while playing oblivion (which apparently is quite sensitive to OCing). I have it set to high, but with the grass distance turned pretty far down and the resolution at 854x480 instead of 1024x768.

Temps are 72*c idle (will actually go down to 68* after power settings clock it down), 79-82*at load. It's been a long time since I OCed...these temps would be ok in the last system I overclocked, but I was wondering how these new chips respond to heat. Are these temps safe for maybe 3 hours of gaming at a time? (not a 24/7 OC)

If this is in the wrong section, let me know :S

Hey cool I just wanted to know which were stock speeds for the GPU , nice you got 560 and 600 , you bump it up to 600/750 take care about heat, see if you can get temps on those values, got msn by any chance I'd like to see how it goes.. I've got my fz190 on its way

I overclock mine to 600/800 and at load it maxes at 77*, usually under that. My 3DMarks are in my sig.
