This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Didn't see this thread here so thought I could get the word out.
    Apologies if already posted, but the search didn't bring anything up...

    The Associated Press: Recalls this week: Sony laptops, kids' jewelry

    Basically, owners of the F11 and the second gen CW series are being notified and warned due to an overheating issue. 30 cases so far, all involving keyboard and general case disformation (think the TZ, but slightly less dangerous, though dangerous nonetheless).

    Apparently, a firmware fix will solve the issue.
