I never got more than 30 minutes out of the battery life. So instead of buying another battery, I bought the N-Charge VNC-130 which is supposed to give me 10 hours. But I only got 4! Anyone else experienced similar problems? Is the Vaio just a power hungry laptop?

A battery may be rated at 10 hours, but it all depends on what your power settings are on the notebook and what applications you are using as to what battery life you get. If you set your screen brightness down and aren't using power hungry media applications then you'll get longer battery life. Gateway computers tend to be pretty good on battery life I find, as well as IBM.
