I believe this is my first time posting here, I've used this website before for trouble shooting and finding solutions to notebooks but never have posted, so here we go.

This Laptop is a Sony Vaio PCG-GR300P the Model Number is PCG-881R.

Issue: The Laptop refuses to boot. When the Power On button is pressed all power LEDS come on and stay on, no blinking, flashing or otherwise. Screen remains black for an indefinite amount of time. I can hear no fans turn on or move, just a little "click" sound and then nothing. The computer's bottom will warm given about 5-10 minutes though, indicating some what that at least the CPU is functioning.

I have tried attaching an external monitor to check if it is the LCD on the Laptop itself, that didn't work, I checked to see if the RAM was loose or placed improperly, no go, I tried replacing the RAM with RAM from another Laptop I have, no go, I don't want to disassemble it just yet as I may not know how to put it back together properly.

Some notes is that this thing as four to six stuck keys on the left top side of the laptop, the keys seemed to have some sticky liquid like substance holding them down. There is also what looks to be stain remnants on the bottom side of the key board where the stuck keys are positioned.

I have no way of testing the Power Adapter, nor any thing else really as I have no spare laptop parts and can't disassemble at this time.

Am I looking at a very large paperweight or is it salvageable? Thank you for your time in reading this.

In any case, you'll need to free those stuck keys to use the machine and you're not prepared to take the risk to explore opening up the notebook. So, send it back to Sony for repair then.
