I had 2 256 sticks in it and then ordered 2 512 sticks from corsair, the ones that are recommended for this machine. When I put them in it only reads each of them as 256 mb, for a total of 512 minus the video ram. This machine, told to me by sony and also seen on corsair site, supports 1 gig, in 2 512 sticks. I checked the sticks and the stick says they are 512, is there another way to confirm this, I dont have another machine that takes DDR only DDR2. I also reformated the HD immediately afterwards cause I lent the machine to someone else for a while, and same thing, comes up with the under 512 mb in Windows and the BIOS.
