Hey guys, Whenever I put my VAIO SZ670N in sleep mode, and then come back from sleep mode later I cannot seem to adjust the brightness setting at all, it is set to the default power plan setting, so in order to change the brightness I need to change the power plan. I have already tried re-installing the Sony Utilities DLL and that did not do the trick, so i'm guessing i just need some kind of a patch. Any ideas? please help.

    Thanks, Nabeel

Oh gee, it might help if we had a clue as to what model of machine you had. (Good! Glad to see you edited your original post to now include your model!)

P.S. you might want to also do a search using the box at the very top of each page here. Try "sleep brightness" without the quotes.

If you have a Vaio SZ6xx then I can tell you I had the precise same problem. I fixed it by downloading the updated BIOS from the Sony UK website.
