I have a driver from laptopvideo and it won't install. it states it's not compatible. i have tried the nvidia site, even used it's auto detect feature, and it doesn't have my model listed.

So I have been able to install drivers for everything on the xp system except a 'USB Device'. would anyone be able to shed some light as to what it might be referring to? i have had problems installing the 'alps pointing device' but didn't think that was related. any info will be appreciated.

    thx

Well having FZ you wont be having speed/stamina mode. The alps pointing device is the ability to scroll pages horizontally/vertically so it probably isn't related. All I can come up with is fingerprint recognition (the usb device) but dunno if FZ even has that feature.

the fz doesn't have that feature. it appears that my camera isn't working. i have installed the software but am unable to locate it in my device manager and when launching the software it doesn't recognize a camera on the system. i have tried several drivers and can't seem to solve the issue. any ideas?

At this point it appears that everything is working except for my camera. if i launch the VAIO Camera Capture Utility it has a 'no input' error. If I access the settings the software doesn't show there is a camera present on the system. If I access the device manager i see a 'USB video device'. I have tried unistalling the device and rebooting. The hardware wizard doesn't launch and xp automatically assigns it as the same. any ideas anyone????

I can't get my video card driver at all. I have XP downgraded from Vista. Sony refuses to help, and nVidia tells me to go to Sony. I have a FZ-190E. Does anyone know a good version I can use?

Does anyone have any suggestions for using WinDVD on windows xp? I am unable to play Blu-ray discs with my blu-ray drive. I can get the software to install but it won't play any movies. When I load the blu-ray disc it tries to read it and then in explorer it shows the drive as a 'CD' drive instead of a DVD drive. any suggestions will be appreciated!! Happy holidays all!!
