Hello,
I bought myself a new Vaio VPCF127HG about 3 months back. For the first 2 months there weren't any problems. The problem began about 3 weeks ago.
The system crashes randomly, when changing resolutions, when adjusting graphics settings, when watching videos, and just about anything. (but sometimes it will run great for hours) When this happens i switch it off by holding the power button. When i try to switch it back again, there is no display, and the fan is running loud.
I fix this by removing the battery and leaving it for a few minutes, after which the laptop powers back up normally but sometimes, system hangs during boot. I usually have to switch off and on several times before there is any display. Sometimes the system wont show any display for several days on end.
Sometimes i realized that the system will boot into windows without any display at all (i confirmed this because i could hear the windows 7 startup sound).
I tried changing harddrives, doing a full system format, installing newer versions of drivers, but nothing has been able to fix it yet.
Please help. I suspect its hardware malfunction. I still have limited warranty.
