After a clean install, Z2 isn't recognizing PMD dock.

I've followed the clean install thread here but, the blue light won't turn on.

I don't think it's detected when it boots up either.

    Any guesses?

did you install Intel/ATI combo driver?

This can happen if you installed "just" Intel driver, not driver for switchable graphics (Intel/ATI).

Go to Control Panel>System>Device Manager. Under display uninstall whatever you have there and reboot. Upon restart install combo driver Intel/ATI (make sure you keep PMD plugged in). You can download this driver from Sony support page: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VPCZ2390X&upd_id=7277&os_group_id=6

    Cheers,
    Miki

Hey - I had the same issue (maybe?), it worked (light turned on) for a brief second and then never worked after that. This was brand new pc...

Doesn't work after removing intel driver and installing Sony driver. Still no blue light. Shouldn't PMD be recognized under boot (CD/DVD ROM) without proper driver installed?

You sure you have the power plugged in all the way to the PMD?

Yes it should. Are you sure it's not faulty unit?

Also, I'm not sure if this is important or not, but did you install USB3.0 support?

    Update:

Today I was messing around with drivers, uninstalled everything, Driver Sweeper, Safe Mode..... and ALL the time PMD blue light was on, no matter drivers installed/uninstalled. So either you didn't plug it all the way, or something else is wrong, but definitely NOT related to driver packages.

    Cheers,
    Miki
