The paint of my 1 month old VAIO FE15GP volume button are peeling. The paint on the buttons were gradually producing crack lines & then peeled off when I pressed them.

If I bring it to an authorized VAIO(it's still under warranty.) service center, will they re-paint the button or replace them with a new one?

btw, I'll take a picture of the buttons tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    TF

    Hi,
I've just noticed the exact same thing on my 8 month old FE11H. The paint on my Vol+ button is starting to peel away at the edges. Scratching it very slightly with my nail, I was very surprised how easily it comes away.

Is still under it's gaurantee, and I'm very interested to hear if anyone with this problem has had a response from Sony. Would they fix it/replace the buttons (with the same or better ones)/or replace the laptop?? Would like to hear people's experiences before I contact Sony myself.

I can imagine in not very long there may not be much of my Vol and S button silvering left!

    Many thanks in advance,
    David
