Dropped a bit of water on my VPC-Z1 and it's now no longer working...so I opened it to have a look and I damaged the keyboard ribbon.
By any chance would anyone be selling one or would they know the part # and where I could purchase it from ?
    Thanks!
I'm in the UK btw :)

I'm pretty sure that part # is: A-1769-469-A
I am not 100% positive more like 99% positive.
Look on page 8 of the VPC-Z1 manual -> Sony VAIO Downloads

    Thanks all.
I'm very unlucky with my VPC-Z1.
I thought the part # was something else, FPC-199 1-881-489-11, ordered a second hand one, from the US (to the UK) and as it happen it doesn't come with the actual tiny connector that broke.
So I'm left with a second useless ribbon...
I will do some research to see if I can get this ribbon in the UK, if I can't well it's either I smash my (£2600) laptop to bits or I sell it for scraps. My time is way too precious scouring the Internet for Sony parts :(

Thinking of it, would anyone know what's the part # for the WHOLE keyboard assembly ?
I ended up buying a spare keyboard, brand new, cost me lots of money, only to find it it's a nightmare to fit in.
BTW the reason I need to repair my laptop is because I dropped about 1 tablespoon of water on it and the keyboard is no longer working..

there is no part # for the whole thing. You might be able to buy the whole thing on eBay if someone is selling it like that. The parts for VPC-Z1 are pretty sparse on eBay though.

If you want to get it bit by bit you can look on page 8 of the Z1 Manual

Double click the parts list paperclip icon on the top right to see the spreadsheet of parts, you can match the numbers to the diagram.
