    Gidday guys!

Hope you all had a good Christmas and are hoping for a top New Year.

Does anyone know if the T7700 Santa Rosa and the new Penryn CPUs will be interchangeable? I am loving my SZ58GN (Asian/Australian model) and am thinking maybe it would be a worthwhile change when the CPUs are available off the shelf. Maybe a new BIOS required and will SONY support it?

    Regards to all........

performance wise it probably isn't worth it unless you just got extra money to blow away, the chip won't be able to be in full ability until the Montevina platform is out or so i hear

so would there be any point swapping hem out at all then?
Because if the chip doesnt hit max capability till montevina comes out, that would mean new motherboard, i.e POINTLESS????

your gonna end up paying alot for alittle and have to deal with putting it in, you'll get slightly better battery performance and processing speed, but the price is not worth it at all in my opinion, just use your laptop till its life is over and get a new one, that technology for ya
