Sorry, this is not a direct Z question, but I'm looking for some advice and experience of other Z users.

What would be the perfect external monitor for my new Z?

    I'd go for the following:
    - Design
    - Full HD
    - Not too big

    Any suggestions? Brand? Model?

I have the strangest feeling of deja vu, like I've responded to this before. Freaky [IMG]

I really hate the word 'perfect', because it differs from person to person, and discussions typically degenerate into 'I'm better than you!!!!' arguments.

Anyway, for me, my idea of a perfect monitor would be an IPS widescreen from Dell, which is what I have currently :D Dell frequently has discounts, and has pretty good (and sometimes even expensive) monitors. I think the only thing related to Z I need to consider is the maximum resolution from the HDMI port. Although VGA has a higher resolution (I don't know why), I have the impression the image won't be as clear. And if the input to the monitor is a DVI port, then a HDMI-to-DVI converter needs to be purchased (e.g. from Monoprice).

    What's 'not too big'?

    EIZO CG221

    ^ultimate monitor

too bad i can't afford it! the next step down i believe is eizo's flexscan, then foris

nonetheless, in the realm of consumer monitors, dell's ultrasharp is the best
