    Hi!
This is kind of a long shot but can anyone post a close-up picture of the "rear hook" inside the VAIO Z?
My model is VGN-Z11XN which is (I believe equivalent to US models Z570,Z575 and Asian models Z70,Z90.

The rear hook is a sliding thing that lock the keyboard, circled in attached picture.

The reason for this is that I cant get hold of this spare part and it is missing from my computer for some reason so i I will try to construct my own slider-hook thingy. I just need to see how it kinda looks and try to estimate the shape, thickness and material.

I would really appreciate it if someone would go through the trouble and post it.

It wasn´t me, I was dead at the time...

No, I wonder the same thing, I bought it without having seen it just because it was sold at an auction as "a Sony computer" with an "estimated market value" of 400$.
It came that way, with the rear hook missing.
I´m guessing an ad lib disassembly with mild violence took place at some point.

    Thanks for the bump.
