I bought a used Sony SZ110 about a year ago. I have had no problems with it other than I can not play "most" DVD's. It will play about 3 of 20 dvd's that were store bought. The owner before me did a clean sweep of the hard drive and deleted the recovery partition so I do not have access to the original install. I was able to install all the drivers from Sony so everything is operating. I have tried installing xp codec files and that has not helped, I have installed VLC media player, cyberlink power dvd and still can not get dvd's to play. If anyone has any suggestions that would be helpful.
Does anyone have a copy of the recovery cd? No longer available from Sony
I don't think it is a hardware problem since I was able to play a few movies.
Please help.
Thanks
Tim
